Airbus has completed the first main deck cargo door for the A350F freighter at its Illescas facility in Spain. The door will be sent to the Final Assembly Line in Toulouse to be integrated into the test aircraft. The A350F features the largest cargo door in the industry, with a width of 4.5 meters and a height of 4.3 meters, designed for fast and secure loading.
The A350F has a range of up to 8,700 kilometers and a payload capacity of 111 tons. Powered by the new Rolls-Royce Trent XWB-97 engines, the aircraft offers 20% lower fuel consumption and carbon emissions. Additionally, the A350F can use up to 50% SAF (Sustainable Aviation Fuel) and aims to reach 100% SAF by 2030.
The A350F will undergo flight testing with two aircraft to be produced in 2026-2027 and has already received 101 orders.
